To mirror a smaller HDD to a bigger one? Well?

This could go in several forums, but OT is not one of them.

Acronis is good. Personally, since I have Ghost 2003 I use that.

Now is that a bootable disc or a .EXE file?

An installable program and a bootable disk. It supports on the fly partition resizing; which is what you want.

I use Acronis now and have had very good luck with it. I used to use Drive Image but only got headaches for my efforts.

EDIT: a great thing about Acronis is you can start the restore process from Windows if you'd like. Plus the program is very fast.

Acronis TI or Paragon....

Acronis sucks when it comes to new technology and releasing updates though.

I use Partition Commander. It works well as a bootable CD although when installed on Windows, it's destroyed my master boot files a couple of times.

I used Acronis before I had an issue with bad memory which corrupted every backup I had. Now I am doing disk to disk copies, which sucks. I am going to be trying out Windows Home Server and see how that works.
