what do you use for small scratches on your car?

i have a few noticeable scratches on my white colored car. anyone recommend a solution from a local auto shop?

Start with wax or clay bar. If that doesn't work, step up to something a little more abrasive like Meguiars Scratch X. Use several applications. Next work your way up through buffing compounds, starting with the least abrasive. I recommend doing this all by hand. If you're not good with a buffer you can actually burn your clear coat, even if you use a random orbital buffer. Last resort would be wet sanding with fine grit sandpaper, then buff the scuffed area to a shine with some buffing compound followed up with wax.

turtle wax does wonders for me. but these are only for scratches that dont actually dig into ur car.

I look at them and think "Damn, that kinda sucks" then I go on with whatever I was doing before.

what do you use for small scratches on your car?
I tried fingernails, but really couldn't get the right "look". Had a so-called friend write things on my car roof while things were frosty. I now have obscene messages scrawled into my car... bleh.

Suppose keys or a small nail would work best for ya ;)
