would running a fsb of 206mhz with ram timings of 11,2,2,2
be slower than a fsb of 215mhz with ram timings of 11,3,3,2.5

all on a 8rda+ w/ 2800@ 2.37

I would guess that 11-2-2-2 @ 206mhz will be faster.

The only way to to know for sure is to benchmark w/ Sandra, and perhaps a few game benchmarks like 3dmark2001, unreal 2003, commanche 4, etc.

Run Sandra memory benchmark to determine memory bandwidth at both settings.

Run 3DMark2001 at both settings to get a comparison of 3D performance.

Hope this helsp!

yep guys i ran some benches...well actually just 3dmark01, and i scored higher with the fsb at 206 and timings at 11,2,2,2. it was about 150 pt increase.

if i got like ddr3500 would i be able to keep low timings and get the fsb to like 220mhz?
or is 3500 a waste of time?

thanks for the comments there helpful.

PC3500 would only be worth it if you get some really quality stuff. Most is rated for something like 2-3-3-7. If you got something like This Mushkin RAM, you could run at 216mhz FSB w/ 2-2-2-11 timings.
