I'll be buying a new desktop in the next six months and I want to sell my old PC. I'm probably going to sell it to a friend's grandma. She'll probably just use it for surfing and e-mail. I don't want to charge her too much, but I want what it's worth.

Compaq Presario - I bought it little more than two years ago.

Processor - AMD 2800 - 2.08 GHz
RAM - 512 MB
HDD: 120 GB
OS: XP Professional

I had to crash my computer a while back and, because of this, I'm unable to locate a video or sound card. I probably just need to reformat them, but am unsure how. I would want to do that before I sell it (the sound card, at least). She probably won't need the video card.

If the windows xp is legal and includes media. . .I would say that windows legal used would be worth about 60$
Ram 512 - probably pc2700 - maybe 30 bucks
AMD 2800 Athlon - maybe 30 bucks
Used 120 harddrive maybe 25$
Motherboard for amd in goodshape 15-20$


Whole thing left together and shipped, no more than say 170$
