typically all asians have dark hair and dark eyes and have similar features. don't be offended by those facts. i know you aren't all perfectly identical, but you do look very similar as a race.Originally posted by: LongAce

Lets say someone told you that you look like some chinese guy in general just because you're asain. Typical statement is "all you chinese people look alike" even if you're not chinese... Offensive comparision would be that guy from sixteen candles, and the guy on American Idol or any asians in general.
did this happen to you, because i have a few minutes invested in this thread and i was just wondering if it was going anywhere or not. kthxbye![]()
Happened to a lot of my asian friends and myself as well.
someone that says you are all totally identical is just being a jackass.
Most of the time, I'm not offended and I even crack jokes about it. How wrong would it be to say that to a black, spanish, white, or etc. person that they all look alike. Would my assumption be that they'll get pissed off depending on who they've been conpared too even if they don't look like them?
i mean you used William Hung, and the guy from Sixteen Candles as the offensive people in your case. what would you say for other races?
There's been a vast majority of very negative images of Asian being portrayed in the media in the past. It?s only been recent that Asians are portrayed as any positive roles. It?s very hard to compare a black, Spanish or white person cause the media doesn?t portray them as such.
