What do you think would be the next target?

I would put the bulleyes on Las Vegas. Tons of people everywhere with elaborate structures. Perfect place to make a statement.

This one act required massive funds and insane timing and preparation. If there were another one(knock on wood), I would imagine it'd be just as large and just as significant to the American people. Maybe they'll hit the new towers once they're built. It would take that long to figure out a new way to circumvent the new security that'll be around airlines now. My guess is that it depends on who did it. If it was a terrorist group, I'd start looking over schools and military academies. There's nowhere that'll hurt the American people harder than by decimating it's children. If it was a nation, major military bases, but that's unlikely since the big one is the Mountain, which was designed to take on a direct nuclear blast. It'd shrug an airliner like a leaf and wonder what's for lunch.

although the attack was very well planned, i think it somewhat fell short of the initial arrangements. 3 planes hit their target and the others, most likely heading towards an important structure, somehow crashed. i think originally it was planned that each plane would hit their target at a close interval of time as to prevent any sort of warning and tightening of security that is happening now. i wouldn't be surprise if the white house was a target if everything went perfectly in place.

Statue of Liberty, no doubt. It'd be the biggest symbolic middle finger they could possibly show us (in which case, they'd best kiss that middle finger goodbye, along with the rest of themselves) :|

exactly. By blowing up WTC and killing all the people, they showed they're serious. Attacking pentagon shows their intentions and statu of libery would be the ultimate move against american culture

If it happens again, I would say it would be the next largest US financial center, Los Angeles. If you want to bring the world to it's knees, there are just a handfull of cities to strike. NYC (today), LA, Hong Kong, Tokyo and a couple others. If you want to bring the US to it's knees, the list is mor like LA and NYC (possibly San Francisco as well).

Yoda, I don't think you've been watching today much. This attack was not high-tech thus not requiring tonnes of money to make it happen. All they needed was to get into the country (if they weren't already here), have the pilot traning to fly a 7X7 (the only real tricky part of the whole affair). Then hijack a plane, which they already seem to be pretty competent at, as it has happened before. Then fly the plane into a building. Horrifying that it probably wasn't rocket science to pull this off.

A terrorist attack on Camp David would have been a highly symbolic action because the Camp David accords were initially signed in September 1978.

Well it is actually pretty easy to fly the 7X7, hard to land but I dont think they were ever planning on landing...

you guys don't realize how easy it is to manuever an airplane. the hardest part of flying is taking off, landing, and keeping track of your location. most likely if you can fly a small cessna, then you are more than capable of ramming a boeing into a big building since you don't have to take off and you don't intend to land.
