what do you think will happen with the fan-developed RE2 remake?

It was recently confirmed that there will be an HD version of the 2002 Resident Evil remake but it remains up in the air whether Capcom will take up the RE2 remake that is being developed by a fan or if they will quash it.

Personally, I think that the RE2 remake is a lot more interesting and more worthy of being released (although i admit that the 2002 Resident Evil Remake is a prime example of something that should be remastered as it had an S load of graphical artifacts), but I dont have any idea if the former will ever be completed and released.

What do you think?

The same thing that happened with every other fan developed thing: cease and desist sent, project scrapped.

especially from capcom - they are a buncha assholes. i've had multiple c&d letters sent about my guide apps for Android based on capcom fighters, even though i'm clearly not breaking any copyright laws based on the laws posted on the .gov website about copyrights. but google is also a buncha assholes and they remove the app regardless of the claim being legit or not. thankfully apple doesn't remove them.

That seems really strange they would bother sending C&D letters for apps like that (if I recall, your app shows movesets and possible frame data, right?).

RE1 remake gamecube was good enough

that was first RE i played. what fun that was

On top of trying to learn the control scheme, you have 4 rounds left your clip, 25% health, and your first zombie resurrects when you walk over him for the 5th time. You weren't expecting that, and the controls are reversed (you're facing the camera). He lumbers towards you, you empty your clip, but he drones on. Getting closer, you whip out your knife and stab twice before he manages to grab onto you. You smash all the buttons finally breaking free, stab once more, and he goes down.

That is probably one of my favorite moments in gaming.

C&D must of got lost in the mail, or Capcom wants a shot at the golden poo and is going to wait until its done to send one like that Chrono Trigger remake.
