What do you think was the best new gadget released in 2009 and why ?

What do you think were the best 1 or 2 new gadgets (it's fine if anything mentioned is
mobile - cell phone related) released in 2009 and please separately say why, for each fave gadget named.

I'm going to go with the Moto Droid.

Why? Because it's the first real (IMO) alternative to an iPhone that wasn't just all hype with nothing to back it. And is the first iPhone like option on Verizon Wireless.

Also, do you own homework.

I don't own a droid but I'm going to have to agree. Android became a viable platform in 09, and that's fairly awesome. I was just hoping the Palm Pre was going to gain some market share, being that I have one and don't want to upgrade so soon.. but the droid and android as a platform = Kudos

I have a G1 and would like to nominate Android based gadgets that have kicked it up a notch (esp the Droid) as "it" for 2009.

I haven't actually used anny of the new gadgets but I really, really like the look of the Zune HD and intend to pick one up.
