I really like my job. I'm constantly learning and taking on challenges, and on a track to get a jump in pay and responsibilities in probably a year or more if I can prove that I deserve it by learning more, taking on more responsibility and taking a leadership role within my group. I have taken the leadershp role in the last few weeks as the last guy in the spot already got promoted. The people I work with are cool to talk to, most are pretty smart and knowledgeable. The benefits are very good, when doctors realize what is covered, many are surprised at the coverage. The fringe benefits of where I work are pretty cool too, breakfast and lunch every day, dinner most days if I'm working late. There's always snacks, tons of soda, tea, coffee, cup o'noodles, sandwich fixings, in the kitchen. Plus working on movies is kinda cool
The one drawback is pay. I'm severely underpaid. I should probably be making almost 50% more if I had this job anywhere else except the entertainment industry. But, seeing as how the market in IT is so bad, I'm happy that I have a job, period. Having one that I enjoy so much makes it okay that I can't afford an apartment in LA.
