What do you think of upping the voltage?

I just bought an MSI P965 Platinum Board for my first true build. I was wanting to use a Patriot 2GB DDR2 800 kit in it. My problem is that the mobo says it supports 1.8V but the Patriot RAM is 2.1V or 2.2V (Patriot says one V and Newegg lists another). Can I just up the voltage on the mobo? Do I need to adjust the timing also? Here are the links for the parts in question.

Thanks😕

He's saying increase your voltage up to 2.45V, but do it in steps of 0.05V to ensure stability. If at any point in time the system becomes unstable, then revert to the step below the one you just tried, and that may be your limit.

Cool. Would I need to set the timings for 4-4-4-12?

Although I'm not certain, when setting the voltage to the standard for the memory I would set the standard timings do.
