Nothing like a prosecutor out to make publicity for himself. God forbid anyone involved in this mess use some common sense. There is one law maker on record in that story saying "My first reaction is that the charge is wrong . . . I don't see any great, compelling interest for the state to get involved in this.". Then he goes on to say , "If the law's on the books, I guess it should be prosecuted like any other law.". Wouldn't want to miss an opportunity to clog up the legal system with nonsense that common sense would have fixed in 15 minutes. Just because a law is on the books does not mean it must be prosecuted. Police make this decision every day when they issue a warning instead of a summons.
