I swear to God, this is the truth.

I was out of town a few weeks ago. My brother got drunk and then got pissed at Windows(hey, we can all relate). He then proceeded to destroy and then throw into the trash the entire system less the speakers.

Trashed system details(I know because I built it for him).

KDS 17" flatscreen trinitron tube monitor.
Enlight 300 watt case
AMD AthlonXP 2000+
Corsair 512mb PC2700
MSI Geforce4 Ti-4400 128mb gamer edition
MSI KT3 Ultra2 mobo
Maxtor 40gb 7200rpm
Generic 16x DVD
generic floppy
network card
SB16 pci
Windows 2000 Pro

He threw this all in the trash. :brokenheart: Didn't even get a chance to salvage anything because I was out of town. :(
The system worked great when I left.

He is now using my second backup machine(I don't trust him with my main backup system) which is a Celeron 566->850Mhz, with 256mb pc133, a 6.4gb old Maxtor and a Voodoo3 with an older HP 17" monitor.

It still bothers me to think about all that good stuff just being thrown in the trash.

I agree. I could've used the RAM or even the floppy which was a loan from me. He paid for all the other stuff so I guess it's his right to throw it away but it really bothers me.

He is too old for me to influence but I hope he can learn to tame his demons before they consume him. :(

Thats messed up as hell....

Im always irked at people that think a computer sucks just because the OS
is jacked up from too many stupid adware programs and user errors.

What do you mean, we can all relate? My Windows is rock stable ;)

In any case, you got some strange relatives, to say the least.

It was more of a windows internet explorer type thing that set him off as far as I know.

I won't argue the strange relative part though.

Um, your brother is an alcoholic whether he or you wants to admit it or not.

Get him help, immediately.

I hope for his sake and for the sake of others that he doesn't have kids or a girlfriend to beat instead.

Dude, you nailed it. Luckily, there is no girlfriend or kids. He only tortures himself.

I'm his older brother and I've tried to talk some sense into him about the drinking thing but unfortunately you can't make other people stop drinking even if you stop drinking to prove it.

The truth of the matter is I could care less about the wasted computer parts. I don't want to lose my brother.

Damn, I am depressing the hell out of myself.

letting him use your other computer doesn't help at all.
