What are you supposed to do when your dad yells at you and then your girlfriend dumps you and a Hawthorne Heights song comes on?

In a country where you can legally carry a semi-auto handgun, there are restrictions on carrying knives?! I carry something like that and I live in freaking England!

You really want to compare laws?

Now this is what I call scary.

Fail sticker - nothing there is really restricted.

I'm not saying anything about the individual restrictions (many of which are perfectly sensible) but doesn't it seem weird you can carry an insane firearm where fairly wussy knives are restricted? Shows the strange irrational love of the gun which exists over there.

It would be owned - if I was actually trying to insult anyone in the first place. What it doesn't seem strange to you?

The states that are tough on guns are also tough on knives. It is more difficult to carry a concealed gun than to openly carry one. A knife is usually going to be concealed.

First, let me say that I am a big fan of surefire products. I think they make the best flashlights available, and I would assume that the quality of their knives is just as good.

But that knife is $425! It's nice and all and I'm sure the quality is superb, but what does that knife have that a much cheaper knife doesn't?

I have a few different utility knives, including a couple leatherman's (about $30-$50), and a swiss army knife ($35).

Absolutely. Hardly a day goes by where I don't use my pocket knife. It always amazes me the people that /don't/ carry them. I'll take it even farther and say I lose a little respect for a guy that doesn't carry some kind of knife. It's just like a guy that doesn't have a screwdriver when you ask for one. It screams Nancy boy.

Word. Knife, flashlight, gun, cell phone, wallet. Not one of them will I go anywhere without. Then again, I didn't even pay $400 for my gun, never mind my knife. That's just ridonkulous.

I don't carry a flashlight on me, but I do own a lot of nice flashlights. I keep them everywhere. I carry my knife everywhere I go. I would carry a gun if it was legal and if my wife was comfortable with it.
