Soyo KT-400 Dragon Platinum Edition
ATI Radeon 9700
512mb Ram PC2700 Kingston
120gig Western Digital (FYI Fry's Electronics is having a special 120 gigs for $120 (orig $200 - $80 rebate= $120) special ends Dec 5th)
Lite-on 48/12/48
Lite-on 16x DVD
Hitachi CM721FB 19" Flat-Faced CRT
Sound Blaster Audigy 2
Logitech z-560 speakers
WinXP Prof
Chieftech Server Chassis with 450w PS

roughly $1700 some online, some products oem

What are you thoughts and suggestions?

The only thing I can suggest is that you go with the nForce2 chipset instead of the KT400, and you buy 2 sticks of memory to take advantage of it's dual-bank architecture.

If you're going to spend that much on a new system anyway, I'd spend a few bucks more and buy the WD hard drive with the 8mb cache. It's noticeably faster. I'd also go with an Antec case and power supply, but that's just my preference. Sounds like a hot system to me!

What nForce 2 boards would you recommend? i'm looking for a board thats stable and upgrade friendly with tons of neat features

Anand will be reviewing nforce2 motherboards within a week. Chieftech=Antec case but power supply will differ.
