Not much content yet, but what are your opinons so far?

Very nice, but I don't like how the steam from the coffee shows through the graphic in the sidebar.

I assume the layout of the "main" section will be different? Those pictures look bad right up against the side and each other basically.

I think its pretty good. Not a huge fan of the beans tho...they seem too 'cut out'

yeah I agree with the beans thing. The cup also looks a little too tilted to me, but over all pretty good.

I disagree. It does not always need to take up the whole page. It can be centered. On some screens it will take up most of the screen, and and some it will be small. You don't always have to set the page size to 100% IMO.

I absolutely agree with you, you can make a design look much nicer when you control the width. 100% width works well for some applications (i.e. forums, online stores), but I don't see a lot of sites that use it that are really visually appealing.

Good colors, nice layout. My only comments are the coffee steam behind the button as someone else said and the two pictures on the left would look better smaller IMO.

That's because the image I cut them from had a light colored background. I'm gonna fix it.

I think it looks pretty upscale. I like the layout and the colors are easy and relaxing. I think it might look interesting if you could get a cloth napkin under the menu and over the background with a spoon partially exposed and the corner of a coffe cup/saucer in the upper left corner giving it the feel that your sitting at a table looking at the menu.
