I would NOT buy any PSU unless I was sure it had both UL (RU) and TUV certifications. From the newegg description, you can't really tell anything about it. For that money you could get a nice Silverstone or Fortron.

Yes definatly, no info=don't buy. 500w doesn't mean squat, if you don't know what the amps are on the rails, and with all the leds and what not that it has, for $56, looks to be generic to me..
No need to bash a PSU just because you can't find info on it. I haven't used it so I can't say anything about its quality/stability, but if you want tried and true get one of the more reputable brands (Enermax, Seasonic, Antec, Channel Well Tech <- usually rebadged as something else, Antec's PSUs use their components as do many others).
i don't think we are bashing it, but finding out about info on the psu is something that you need to do, if they can't provide that then what are they hiding?
