Looks like a very good performer for those who don't worry about thin/lightweight/battery.
PRO:
1920x1080 screen, meaning probably NOT one of the typical crappy consumer notebook screens.
Native mobile quad core with great turbo mode.
Mobility Radeon 5870 is akin to a desktop 5770.
HD webcam, eSATA, USB 3.0, Wireless-N, gigabit Ethernet, Blu Ray drive all means you won't feel this unit to be outdated before the 2 year warranty is up.
Dual HDD bays is AFAIK pretty unique for a notebook below a 16" screen class.
CON:
4/10 reviews (Verified Owner too) report BSODs, so either it has a cooling issue or something about it may not be stable.
Size/weight a bit more than most in the size class (though most have lesser hardware).
IMO they tried too hard to make it look like a "gamer" notebook in some ways while perhaps missing out on some essentials in other ways. For instance, WASD are clearly marked and the speakers look like they are outlined (maybe LEDs?). However, no backlit KB. Lid has creases in it, but no other bling.
My biggest beef with this is the RAM setup. It specifies 3x2GB=6GB. However, the platform only supports dual channel operation. So, what happens to the memory bandwidth? Wouldn't it have been better to cost cut and go 2x2GB=4GB, or go all the way with 2x4GB=8GB? This was a design decision from ground-up because it has three SODIMM slots.
