It seems really good, has usb 2.0, some great overclocking features as most Epox boards do, 6 channel built in audio, raid, etc.

Check it out: Link for board
Has anyone tried this one?

I was checking that board out the other day but I haven't seen it for sale yet. It's the 8K3A+ with some nice enhancements so it should definitely be a winner if the price is right.

hehe good question :)

i would almost rather get the 8k5a2.... the non + version only has 5 pci slots, not 6... the advantage is there is much more room between the memory and the video card

so with the 8k5a2 you can easily add/remove memory without taking out the vid card

i dont need the onboard raid controller.. if i wanted to use ide raid i would get a 3ware card and run raid5 :D

at least you don't have an 8k7a like me. It's only a year old and it feels ancient.

Anyway, you are right Newegg now has the board...the only thing i'm concerned about is the built-in lan card crapping out when overclocking. A lot of my lan cards crapped out once i started uping the FSB. Only the 3com one was able to handle it.

I read in a review, can't remember which site, that this new onboard LAN is really stable at OC, I think they had theirs up to 166Mhz FSB... That's cool, cause my old Dragon had major issues above a couple of pts. OC...

My only complaint about the 8K5A2+ is that the sandra memory bench is lower than the ABIT AT7 with the FSB at 200. I was getting 2969/2698 with the ABIT. I have the timings at CAS2 2-5-2-2T on the 8K5A2+ (200 FSB) and only get over the 2800 mark.

Other than that, I am happy with the EPoX. It is rock solid, and performs well.
