Any thoughts on this? I didn't even know they had 5000:1 Contrast Ratio's yet. LOL Anyways, I'm sorry I don't have much time to go through all the details. I just would like to know what you all think of this monitor. A friend told me that LG displays are very good gaming screens. Is that true? Also, does this display sport a really nice panel?

Any information would be HIGHLY appreciated! Thanks in advance and Happy Holidays!

It is 3000:1.

LG has excellent product - but I always recommend buying LCD monitors from B&M stores, like BestBuy or Staples.

If you are not happy (dead pixel, ghosting, etc...) you can just take it back for a full refund.

If it is in fact 3000:1, why would they label it as 5000:1? I plan on actually going to NFM to pick the monitor up. I don't plan to purchase from their website.

Go for it then!

Check out their return policy though... Make sure that they don't charge you any restocking fees in case you decide to bring it back.

But I have a feeling that you'll just love it!

Good luck!

I'm pretty stoked about it. COD4 is going to look B-E-A-utiful!

Sorry to spit in your Cheerios but I bought that model at BB last week and hated it. Maybe I got a bad one, but I worked for hours trying to get the colors right and couldn't do it. Whites were white on one side and yellow on the other. After 4 days I returned it and picked up a Samsung 2232BW and right out of the box it was noticeably better. After about 20 minutes of tweaking I had the color dialed in. The only complaint I have with the new Samsung the ghosting. I've never seen it before on any of my monitors but I guess that's what it's called. When using a sniper rifle to follow a boat on FarCry I can see a shimmer of the boat following the image. It's not a big deal but it's there.
