What do you think of this LCD?

I saw this monitor for cheap and I am tempted to buy it.

Now, I know most of you will say 17" is too small. However, I am using a 15" old Compaq CTR which won't go above 1024x768. So it is a big upgrade for me.

What I find most appealing about it is the 8ms response time which should be more than plenty for gaming.

I am very limited in budget and this is pretty much the only decent LCD I can affort.

Any opinions? Should I go for it? I've never had an LCD before so I'd appreciate some insight. I want it for gaming mostly and I also do a lot of audio editing and recording (which shouldn't be much of an issue). I don't have a TV so I watch my DVDs in my PC as well.

Try the Samsung 740B instead because it comes with a DVI (digital) input. But if it's a little too high-priced for your taste, then the 740N will be just fine as well. Only difference is the B has DVI.

Does the 740N allow you to swivel the screen to change the viewing angle?

I've been able to look at every other Samsung LCD locally but nobody has this one in stock...

Thanks!

i like the older LCD model. As they reduced the response they crapped the Video quality on movies playbacks. for some reason i loved the very chepo and not so great looking benq 16ms monitor :! don't know why but when i watched movies on it it was awesome.
