What do you think of this kitchen countertop?

It looks fine. White is very neutral and goes with pretty much anything. Seal the grout and you'll be fine.

We had white tile counter in our kitchen until we put granite in and it held up fine for the 14 years or so that we had it. I love the granite though, well worth the expense for the added durability and beauty.

That guy used epoxy grout. I heard a lot of bad things from epoxy grout but I imagine it would last forever.

Not a fan of tile personally. Much prefer a top without the grout lines.

Yeah. Grout lines on a counter are just a bad idea, IMO...especially WHITE grout.

Agree 100%! I would never have tile countertops again if I had the choice.

When I renovated my kitchen, I used granite slabs, which I cut myself. They were 1/5 the price of my local granite countertop people. They were heavy (250lbs each) and I used 4 of them! The cutting was pretty easy with firm grip and diamond blade on my circular saw.

Results turned out great! I get nothing but compliments!

I'm not sure what kind of grout our home builder used but it was durable and never gave us any trouble for the many years we had white tile countertops in our house...still have them in two of the bathrooms in fact.

I obviously prefer the granite though.

I prefer marble, without those grout lines.

That's a good choice too. I don't know that I'd go with no grout lines but definitely make them very very thin, like the thickness of a toothpick.
