What do you think of this hp system?

Hey guys as I posted in another thread i'm new to pc's as I am just switching over from the mac. So obviously I'm not yet ready to build my own system. I would like to know what you guys think about this system it seems pretty good to me for the price. I won't be doing any gaming or maybe just a little. Also I will be updating to 512mb ram and an 80gb 7200rpm hard drive. After coupon it comes out to about $490. It's the pavilion a310e series on this page.

i think there is a dell optiplex ultra cheap deal floating around somewhere... with some upgrades it'll be decent and save you some $$$

look around the hot deals forums. not sure if its dead

my only complaint about an HP system is that they load the computer up with a bunch of junk that no one needs and it really slows it down. Also they dont give you a full version of windows, its a repair CD's if they give you that on my friends computer if he tried to delete most fo the jumk on his HP it would run unstable. Plus instead of Windows CD/CD's he had a 6GB partion that had all his winodows things onit if it got formated the compuer ran unstable. plus they have intagrated Video which sucks,

my choise for a computer if you arnt going to buy one is to get a DELL or a Gateway they are more reliable.

I had an HP and will never own another. It was ok, but like tweeve mentioned there is so much crap loaded on it, it is amazing it even runs at all. I couldnt even upgrade it with brand name parts, couldnt even install a cd rewriter to it. It wouldnt detect the discs. And if you have replacement HP parts when its time to upgrade things, you better have small hands to work under the hood. Everything is so compact it is horrible. And with their support, you better understand other languages or broken english cause you wont get a person that speaks good english. The first thing they will ask you is how good a job they are doing with phone support before they even answer your damn question. Go with a clone =)
