What do you think of this fan placement?

Looks pretty good to me. If the side fan above the mainboard is intake I'd put in two more quiet 80mms exhaust. Thats A LOT of bays.

I plan on making the top fan on the motherboard as exhaust and make air flow flow to the back. The other fan is suppose to be exhaust for the cards. But I think I can make it so that the CPU has another 80mm fan exclusively as the intake.

Yeah it maybe a lot of bays but due to Hot deals, I am preparing for some upgradeability. ;) Not to mention if I wish, at least a 4 CD bay module or a 4 HD module can become space for a decent watercooling kit.

you will need air filters for the front intakes since they are sending air to the HDDs. there is no real fresh air hitting the HS\fan combo for the cpu, so, that may be a draw back. the drawings arent draw to scale, it's hard to recommend anything. there are no size constraints you gave, so (again) it's hard to recommend anything. it may be a bit hard to route the cables since you have so many drives, i recommend some sort of built-in cable management. and so many cables means poor circulation usually.

The 2 bays in front will have the drives spaced an inch apart. The back bays will have the drives spaced a half inch apart. I know I must use dust filters for the front as dust is a major concern.

As far as cables go, most of my devices will be first mounted in the right side. The left side will be filled with devices as needed. I also plan on using rounded cables anyways.

The maximum fan size I am willing to consider for the rear and sides is 8cm with the rear right side to be 12cm (all exhaust). The height of the case will be 14.5 in and in length will be 22 in

I think it would be best to keep the power supply high as possible in the case, otherwise the layout is excellent.
