yes, the case is made entirely out of lego, even the supports for the motherboard and drives.

i still have to paint the drive faces for the floppy and burner, install the two 5mm blue LEDs and the 80mm blue LED Antec fan.

and it only took me 3 hours to build it.

how much did it cost,and did you use glue,so it wont fall apart if kicked/falls over?

no glue, not yet at least

lego cost about $200
computer parts about $400

How loud is that system? I would imagine all that plastic issolates a lot of the sound.

it is much quieter with the lid on, it drowns out most of the noise from the fans.


regarding the $200 worth of lego, it took over 1400 pieces to build, all of which were ordered online because you can't buy bricks like this in bulk from a store. i bought them all from brickbay.com and got reasonable prices on most of them. One of the stores i bought them from was considerably higher, but he had the most pieces available and some that i could not get anywhere else so what are you going to do?
