What do you think of these hardware upgrade options?

Hi. I am considering two upgrades for my current system.

System specs:
CPU: Pentium III 1Ghz
RAM: 384MB SDRAM
HDD: 120GB Hard drive
Optical Drives: 16x DVD-ROM
16x10x32x CD-Rewriter
Vid card: 32 MB Radeon SDR

I am considering adding a DVD-rewriter and replacing the video card. Would the following be good options?

1. LG 4163B or Benq 1620 Pro? Or would a slower drive be better suited for my system?
2. For the video card, I am thinking of a 9000 AIW or 8500DV AIW or GeForce 4 Ti4200. What do you think?

Looking forward to your advice! Thank you in advance!

1. The latest DVD-rewriter will suit your system just fine, and LG makes good versatile burners.

2. I still have a Coppermine P3 1GHz system just like yours, and the GeForce 4 Ti4200 for the video card,
and very satisfied with their combined performance, but not sure if you can still get the GeForce 4 Ti4200 though.

You'll probably have to find the Ti4200 on FS Thread or Ebay... But that's the card that's best suited for your system. Still running it in an old 1.2 AMD and it can handle CS:S and various other games. Good card.

Thank you for your advice guys! I am most worried about the DVD-rewriter but since you guys say it's fine, I am reassured =)
As for the video card, I will wait for a good deal to come up in a local BST forum, but do you guys have any brand to recommend?
Thanks!

Thank you! I will keep that in mind.
Another question I have is, is the stock fan enough in terms of cooling?

Thanks again!

As long as the fan still works and you're not somewhere that it's 100 degrees inside, it should be fine.
