What do you think of the upcoming Scion tC?

Its not bad, I've seen better but there is also a lot worse out there. Any idea on what the MSRP is going to be? I can't find a guesstimate anywhere. If it is as inexpensive as the other Scions, its a good deal.

The styling is derivative but overall it looks good, although the high beltline makes even 17" wheels (especially in the rear) look small.
The standard equipment list looks excellent given the probable price point and with the optional supercharger this could be a fun, quick little coupe.

However, I do not think Scion is going to price the tC quite as low as the xA and xB. I got some literature on the Scions last night and after reading the brochure it would seem to me that the tC is going to be positioned slightly higher in the marketplace.
That remains to be seen, though. In any case, I think it's going to be a good value.

Edit: all we really know is that the base price will be "well under" 20K. I've seen estimates of around $16-$17K base with the supercharged version pushing $20K. I think that's pure speculation, though.

Price so far looks like it'll be between 15-17k (al least, that's what the forums at scionlife.com are indicating). I love it, but I liek my Scion better :p

Depending on the price, I'll be choosing between a Scion tC and a Mazda 3s in the fall.

I think its nice and even nicer for that pricepoint.

What about the mazda 3 though?

My boss just got one. He decided he didn't like one of his "old" cars anymore and traded it in for one. Looks sweet.

The Mazda 3s is fuggin' sweet. I test drove a 3s sedan and it was simply stellar. Excellent build quality and interior...great engine. Just a bit pricey IMHO. I'll wait for them to work out the first year glitches and break out the incentives/rebates for the '05 model.

Nice car for the price. Not really my kind of car though, so I wouldn't know how it compares to others.

What other cars are using the 3 platform?? I heard the new 3-inspired Focus won't drop until 2006 model year, but are there any other cars using its platform?

I like it, my final judgement will be withheld until official pricing is announced.

I really don't expect it to be priced as low as the xA and xB, I figure it will probably top $20K for a loaded/supercharged version.

Very nice looking, nice standard features, & probably well priced...

I like it. I might consider trading in my 2002 Maxima for one when it comes out (sorry Skoorb).

Supercharged version? Interesting. Why not turbo?
