Never mind that Fox extended it to Season 2 already?

Well, you are a bit late since tonight is the season finale.
Great show though, always ends on a cliffhanger that makes you await the next one eagerly.

completely unbelievable...it does nothing towards the suspension of disbelief. Basically the things that happen are SO implausible that you realize you're watching a poorly thought out production. It's impossible to get into for this reason, unless you'll swallow whatever tripe some hollywood producer will throw down your throat, using his wang as a shovel. Needless to say, 90% of ATOT loves it

Are you describing 24 or Prison Break? Because that above comment would fit perfectly if I were asked to describe 24.
The reason prison break works is because ultimately the characters are what is importantm, and it never takes itself too seriously so you don't really need to worry about how realistic it is. Even though there was lots of pointless and preposterous crap throughout the season, at least I feel like I know the characters more now than I did at the beginning of the season. Even when a character turns into a bad guy, you get plenty of advanced notice and clues.
This is the exact opposite approach from what 24 takes. 24 shows you characters and then arbirtrarily wipes out everything you knew about the characters whenever it feels like it even though the "twist" is totally inconcistent with the character itself. At the end of the season I feel like I just wasted 23 hours watching a character who was nothing like the character in the 24th hour.

Do you watch 24? I'd say 24 is even more out there then prison break.

I disagree, I can suspend disbelief with '24' more than I can with 'Prison break'. The subplots in 'Prison break' are utter crap and once the prison break happens the show will tank.
