I'm looking at 2006 with 6000 miles on it - dealer is asking $16k. Has leather and most of the other standard stuff (cd player, ac, etc.).

It's front wheel drive, it would be fine in the snow.

You can get a brand new '08 Escape FWD Escape I4 for around $18k. $16k for a 2 year old one doesn't sound like that decent of a deal to me.

If you are in the market for this type of vehicle, I'd look around for a used '07 Pontiac Torrent of Chevy Equinox. You can find used ones for around $16k that are GM certified with the 10 year/100k powertrain warranty. They are quite a bit nicer vehicles than the Tribute/Escape IMHO.

I drive the 4 cycl.

IMO it gets good gas but it is a beast.

I've never got past 105mph with it either 🙂
