What do you think of the Lian Li PC-65B?

I found this case for 119.99. I want to upgrade from my enlight 732 or whatever it is. I need enough room for 5 HDDs and 2 Disk drives and a floppy and a live drive some neons and a little expansion room from there. It looks pretty tight. Any suggestions on a sweet case for 150 or less?

i believe that's the lian-li case I have as well. Mine came in a black case. Really solid. Screws which you can use w/out a screwdriver. Only problem I had was w/ the screws that would attach the back plate to the PSU. otherwise good case.

That case should work for you. It's the one I have I believe.

You can do 4x 5 1/4 bays, 3x 3 1/2 bays and then an additional 3 or 4 drives in the cage by the lower fans. It is probably the best built case I've seen...precise machining (just opening the side panel you'll notice the difference). It has thumbscrews everywhere - even on the pci slots - completely tool-less. There are no sharp edges anywhere, the case connectors can be detatched so that you can hook them to the motherboard while it's sitting in the removeable tray and then move the whole thing in place. There are no sharp edges, it's lightweight, runs cool and wait until you see the blue led on those!! neato stuff.

The Kingwin KT-436WM is the PHATEST case I have seen I think. But that 180 shipped price is pretty steep without a PSU. Wonder if I can get em to match a Staples coupon. LOL

This case is an absolute dream to work with. Rounded edges, screwless design, and lots of open spaces. I got mine for $99 from coolerguys a couple months ago.

I've got the standard pc-65 and I love it. If you like the way it looks, go for it. It's designed well, and as others have mentioned, its very easy to work with. You will not be dissappointed.

One of them is longer than the others to accommodate larger mobos, some have windows/blowholes etc.
Other than that though, it's just fascia/colouring that changes I think.

I have the silver version, and i have been quite satisfied by it. I am ALWAYS poking around with my hardware (i have replaced every drive, CD and HD at least twice and i'm on the second mobo in it), and after 9 months have not had a single screw hole strip out and have no visible scratches on it even after some fairly rough handling (except for the marks that drive mounting screws make... not an issue really).

The only issue with the silver one is finger prints, but a swipe of windex cleans em away.

I have added a chunk of furnace filter media in front of the supplied air filter, and the case stays very clean inside (and has good air movement even when the filters look like a cat).
