What do you think of the BMW X6?

I think the car looks great, but pretty much everyone I?ve spoke to thinks it looks ugly and strange.

Saw one on the motorway today and it looked mean.

Looks good but its too expensive and has very little practicality.

The rear seat space is tight - rather cramped - the sloping roofline for rear seat passengers is not good and the rear storage is tiny.

Gimme an FX50 over this when it comes to impractical sport SUV's.

It looks like someone took a 3 series and overinflated the whole thing. However, I kind of like the styling...

On the other hand, it doesn't look all that practical for an SUV.

i don't like any of BMW's SUVs. especially since they call them "SAV's" for sport activity vehicle. or "progressive activity sedan" in case of the BMW 5 GT concept. whatever BMW  it's a SUV or a 5door regardless of what you call it.

If you want something that drives like a car get a car. Get an SUV if you need an SUV. Don't get one for some sort of style or image.

It's my least favorite BMW design. I think the X3 is also a bit icky. The X5 looks the best of the 3, but I'm not an SUV/crossover fan at all.

Saw one (and only one in all this time) on the road and it just captures your attention. The stance with the high rear end sloping to a sporty front end just makes you gawk. Not bad. In pictures, it's bad because it does not have that same dramatic effect in 2D from a still angle. Try not going "wow" when you see one in person. Practicality-wise... it's only a 4-seater as the rear has a center console. The trunk is small as a sedan anyway. The only people who buy this are the ones who want to be different. Seriously. But I have no problem with that either. I'll take my X5 anyday though - I have been in love with the look since its redesign in late '06. Too bad those mofos wouldn't give it the twin turbo I6 like they did for the X6.

BTW, the X3 is getting a major redesign for 2010 and it'll be much improved... it is definitely the worst of the 3 right now.

I absolutely dispised the design when I first saw pictures of it... And thenone day I was driving downtown in Greenville,SC (they make the vehicle less than 15mins away) and came up on an early prototype from behind and was really curious what it was at it looked very aggresive and muscular. As I pulled up I realized what it was...and I still wasn't sold on the design 100%...but it has slowly grown on me to were I like it. I'm not a huge SUV fan...and if I was going to get one I'd rather it be more practical (otherwise why buy it)....but I have to say I now see where they were going with the design.

I don't like it. Terrible rear end, small windows, I fuckin hate small windows. There are so many better options out there.
