What do you think of the Apocalypse?

Do you think it will happen as described in the Christian Bible?
If not the Christian Bibles prophecy, how will it happen?
When might it happen?
Are the events unfolding today a sign of it?

The Christians have been screaming for years that the end of the world was near. Has it happened yet? Nope!

Or how about... it won't happen.

I don't believe in any such thing, unless you count the sun going supernova in a few billion years.

Did you say 'Apocalypse' ?
Looks like it's starting right now with what's going on in Iraq.
Anyone read the Revelations 9 in the Bible and cut through the symbolism ?

How about just throwing the bible into the nearest dumpster and try thinking logically instead?

I'm not a religious nut, but thanks just the same.
I keep a close watch on all things that intrest me.
I do not like where this mess is headed, and Apocalypse comes to mind.
Does it bother you that 80 % of the world is protesting the U.S. action ?
Does it bother you that the United States - for the first time in history is invading a country ?
Does it bother you that this is nothing more than a personal revenge by Dubya for his Ego ?
Does it bother you that the constantly repeated lines parallel what Hitler used in WW II ?

I don't like it much myself, but its not the end of the world either. No need to overreact.

Bush's motives don't interest me in the least. I only care about the results of his actions - good or bad.

Does it bother you that the US invaded another country before Iraq?

How about you don't insult someone's religious faith? And how about you read it before you knock it? As for logic, is it not illogical to dismiss or disparage something without research it?
Personally, I have no opinion either way. Wait and see, it might happen, it might not. But I sure as hell am sick of all the religious bigotry on this board.

Puhlease.

Anyone who tries to use the bible to justify things or to explain how the future will be, needs help.

PS: I am Roman Catholic.

No, but it bothers me that you spout off nonsense with no proof to back it up.

This is one small war, don't estimate it will be THE war.
It might start a chain of events but so may the next terrorist bombing .
The problem with prophecies is they are so vague anobdy can manupulate current events to 'fit' the pattern
and choose to blatently dismiss the ones that don't.
Phopecies get close cause the authors understand human nature it hasn't changed much since the bible.

Iron Woode - "PS: I am Roman Catholic."

And you want to throw the Bible in the dumpster? Pity your Catholic and not a Christian.

How on earth does this relate to his ego? The first conflict in the Gulf had nothing to do with him. He wasn't even involved in politics at the time (Ann Richards was Texas governor at the time). If this were purely a move for the sake of vengeance, I seriously doubt that it would have taken this long.
