What do you think of oyster mushrooms?

I've read up a bit on edible mushroom cultivation and it seems rather fun, and good tasting to boot.
What do you guys think about the oyster family of edibles? Specifically the pearl oyster, which is what a friend of mine is helping me with...
Anybody know of good recipes to cook these things up?

I like oysters (raw and steamed), and mushrooms (raw and cooked), but I have never had an oyster mushroom...

Oyster mushrooms! They are named oyster mushrooms because they grow shaped like an oyster, and some people say the taste is similar.

I've made this a few times:

POTATO, LEEK, GRUYERE AND OYSTER MUSHROOM GRATIN

Remove any woody parts. Sautee in clarified butter with a little salt. Serve em up just like that.

They're good but I like Chantrelles the best, although they're not generally cultivated.

the oysters/ clam/ mussels will not open unless they are alive before they are steamed, if dead, they wont open, thus why you arent suposed to eat closed ones
