What do you think of my upgrade??

Parent's PS died yesterday so this opened an excuse to make a cheap upgrade. Currently still running C366@550, 256meg, AIW 7500

Anyway seen several threads on this in HD so figured why not

XP1600+ $52.99 free ship
ECS K7S5A SiS® 735 $54.99 free ship
Crucial 256meg Registered ? ECC $55.74 free ship (registered ECC ok here?) I know its good for servers but it's $80 w/$25 coupon at crucial. Advice?

I need a case recommendation. I like Antec cases but they are a bit expensive but would plunge if they are worth it. No more than $100 though.

Also need a fan recommendation for the processor and heatsink. Not planning to O/C so nothing extreme but noise is priority. I like it quiet.

Thanks

I have been happy with my Enlight 7237 cases. The newer versions are the 72500AZ, with front usb, can be viewed here
and cost $44 plus shipping of $15. My last case was an Antec KS282. I really like it. A little taller than the Enlights but not quite as deep and wide. Good Luck.

check newegg for cases also, they have good ones with amd approved power supplys in the 35-45 dollar range

Yea it's an upgrade to PC2100 DDR. What about it being registered ECC? Any problems there?

I've been looking at newegg's stuff but EVERY case I've ever bought has been from Mwave (their name brand case) and have been pleased with it. Though the 300W is now $80 there so thats close to an Antec anyways.

So what cases are you refering to the 35-45? Thanks

Here is the case I really like

Antec

I like the looks of the case. I hear the quick snap case fans are really nice not to mention the drive rails

I have a sx1030B the cases are nice but big, just a warning, I wish mine was a little smaller
