Cheap TN panel, what else is there to know?

Says "only available in store." Tigerdirect.com actually has B&M stores?

Tigerdirect bought Compusa when they went into bankruptcy a few years back. They use the compusa stores.

So this deal isn't a deal and I shouldn't get it?

LED good, IPS better
I don't believe we have LED displays yet, just LCD panels with LED backlights. LED backlight is nice to have, but it's not always better.

IPS is definitely better, but they're not going to be quite as cheap as TN panels, especially for the larger displays.

Ah, that's right. I was somehow trying to imagine B&M stores with the name Tigerdirect.com on it.

It's an ok deal for a TN panel. Nothing particularly special, I think.

Personally, I'd go with something other than TN, but it'll depend on how much you're willing to spend for a monitor. Anything other than TN will be more expensive. If I remember correctly, a 22-inch 1080p e-IPS LCD would be something like $200, when there's a good deal.

I read up on the different types of LCD.

So for a quality monitor I should get the TFT type with back lighting?
