so i emailed my psych TA about a paper due later today (that i havent finished yet) and she had mentioned to put my name at the back of the paper. this is the first time ive had someone ask for that. but since this is the first collected assignment i doubt other students will do it or be aware of the request.

should i put my name in the front or back? i'm a fairly good writer and student...so any biases would be in my favor no?

sorrie if i'm just rambling on while i work on this studpi paper...

cuz i know not everyone is going to do it...and it may have slipped my mind...etc.
i would just like to put myself at the best position possible whatever that may be

huh, wtf are you talking about. If the teacher asked you to put your name on the back, why would that not be the best position possible?

Sounds like some kind of mindgame. 😛

i was getting into the psychological nature of having names in front/back. from what ive read/seen by having names on the front where it is read first, evaluators can have biases/expectations (good or bad). having the name on the back can sort of remove these tendencies. though evaluator can easily flip to back page first before reading.

yeah bro, wtf would you not do what they say? I don't understand what this has to do with holistic grading either...

I think he is talking about a paper for a class that isn't his psych class. It doesn't matter. Assuming you don't have a GSA the person grading the paper is probably good enough not to form a bias.

Don't listen, don't follow directions, don't conform! Spit in the face of authority! Write your name on the front, in crayon!

Actually, this may be a good thing. Teachers should grade all student hand ins blindly.

Teachers can be and usually are biased towards some students and against others.
