I think it's another safety video I will never pay any attention to while on a plane.
Here's an idea: scrap the safety video on the plane and play it in a special section within the airports (for anyone that cares).

The FAA mandates it.

Pics of you for comparison?

I realize that, but it's still annoying and ultimately pointless.

Shows how little you know. The safety videos are important for non-frequent fliers, the disabled, children, etc. Also, a reminder of all the steps is important. Repetition makes it less likely that something will be forgotten by a passenger during an emergency. Emergencies do not happen often, but they are not rare enough to preclude the safety information from being presented. Any flight could be "that" flight, and the information is important. Reviewing the safety card is important as well -- emergency exits, layout, and equipment changes from plane to plane. Even someone who has flown a dozen times in a year may be on a different aircraft each time.

Hence why I don't want to get rid of them completely. Read up next time, Mill. It makes for better conversation.

I watched that under the assumption that there would be something worth seeing. There was not. Explain yourself, OP.

I didn't get the big deal either.
