So why did they get lighter and blurred? here

I guess the more times you hit enter the darker the coned area gets.

I didn't make them dark enough.

If you want to do it the easy way, just use the selection tool to select the letter > ctrl c > ctrl v > move into position

Ehh you don't need a book. I just learned by messing around with all the tools .. of course I'm not an expert or anything.

i would have just found the garfield font and typed it in or made one to match....
that's what i thought when i saw how you cloned the letters.
fonts are evil!
sorry i was regressing to a period when i was creating new fonts for work....
