I think the next evolution will be the realization that we shouldn't kill eachother over stupid crap or enslave eachother, and that up until this most recent evolution we have been a very petty, greedy, and selfish race and that we need to make some serious changes.

..HAHA, like that'll happen. I was almost able to keep a straight face, too...bah.

The next evolutionary stage for humans will be killing ourselves into extinction so the rest of the planet can do it's thing unimpeded. :p

I'd say that our technological development easily outpaces any kind of natural progression. We're already able to replace body parts with machines, that will only continue. Soon enough living well beyond 100 years will be expected.

Ghost in the shell type of society maybe?
