I would say BT, but I don't like the idea of these jerknut MPAA clowns sending me a cease and desist letter for downloading an episode of Futurama (hasn't happened to me, yet)...

without p2p, there would be no reason for anyone to use internet connection. This is our freedom, take that way and you have communism :music:

I USED to LOVE BT. But for the some strange reason, I can't top out at fast speeds anymore. (Believe me, I searched all over the place, and there's no fix for it. Nothing, tried everything.)

So, I can't really love BT anymore. I'm sticking to DC++ (DC.)

BT is kind of scary though. Ever click the "details" tab in azureus? It lists the ip addresses of all users connected.

DC++ especially if you're in a private hub with hundreds of users. No anonymous IP tracking and no bandwidth ratio raping. BT is the best for the latest tv eps though.

Napster was.
It worked better than anything I have tried since.

The newer programs frustrated me so much I won't try any, anymore.

With Napster you could choose to only download from
another person that had broadband.

Downloading at 22 kbps is a bummer when you have Roadrunner. ;)

If you can get on a good hub on some school network then DC++ blows everything out of the water. Otherwise BT is the best

BT is indeed the best, it's the most advanced and most efficient sharing program made most recently and is improving all the time:thumbsup:

ive used just about everthing...and found BT to be the best but its mostly for new stuff. emule/edonkey has more to offer but its too slow.

usenet is technically not p2p, however, it is the best way to distribute binaries. an infinite number of people can download everything I post, and I only have to use the bandwidth once each time I post it. meaning Its not too hard to distribute stuff to lots of people even with a weak 256kbit upstream.

also, don't forget FTP. FTP is far more usefull than P2P IMO.

Call me a pussy but I no longer use P2P because of 2 main reasons:

1) Viruses galore.
2) Potential legal action.

Rare: eMule/eDonkey/OverNet (but takes forever and a day)
Music: SoulSeek
Speed: Reverse Connect (DC++ w/ multi-source d/ling, can't use on a lot of servers)

BT is slow unless I'm on a university connection, and rarely is there something on BT I can get that isn't on one of these other ones.
