What do you think is the best car to get for around 15Gs?

My 2002 Mazda Protege5 isn't working for me anymore so I'm looking to trade it in to get another car. I want something fast, smooth, and won't kill me on insurance and has to have enough room to fit my daughter in the back with the car seat. I'll most likely trade in the Protege5 or somehow find someone to buy it and finance for a new car or a good used one. Let me know your opinions, thanks!

Did you buy it new? You just lost a lot in depreciation. I'd get a 2001 maxima or something like that.

If you want new, Mazda 3, Scion TC.

I recently bought an '01 Infiniti G20 and paid around 14K. Its not fast, but it sure as hell is a nice car
warranties on thses cars are pretty long (4/60 bumper to bumper) 5/75 (powertrain) and dealers give loaner cars.

anyways, I'd look into 2001-2002 Maxima SE. Leather, Bose, and all that good stuff. You can find a pretty low mileage Maxima for $15K easily.

An Imprezza 2.5 or WRX Wagon would work well. The performance wouldn't disappoint you, either.

2000 to 2002 Nissan Maxima - Don't buy new, let some other chump thake the 30% depreciation hit and big tax bill for you.

Now this is going to get flamed but get a brand new Hyundai Elantra. They are GREAT cars for the money. Despite what the "Hyundai Haters" are going to surely come in here and say, they tied with Honda in the quality standings for 2004. Yup. Hyundai. They have GREATLY improved over the last 10 years. I have a 2000 and it runs beautiful. What can I say? They are good cars now. *Flamesuit on* Get prepared, here comes the haters!!!

I got a new 2003 corolla almost 2 yars ago for 15000. its a piece of crap. zero acceleration between 20-45 mph. I absolutley abhor the car. I had to get rid of my 1991 buick regal cause it was getting too old, but that car was awesome compared to the corolla. word to the wise say no to corolla.
