Can fire be considered an invention?

Like electricity it occurs in nature so the ability to create it, harness, use it, etc. is more like a discovery than an invention.

The vacuum tube is where it all started. Nothing like the glow of valves on a stormy evening. :D

I take it back. The greatest invention ever is audio/video recording devices. :D
