What do you think is a fair price?

I have a Sony 5disk DVD player that someone wants to possibly buy. The only reason I am not using this player is because I got a new entertainment center and it doesn't fit in it so I got a new DVD player. This Sony player is 4 years old but is in mint condition, I took great care of it. I actually hate getting rid of it but I have no real need for it. I don't watch TV in my bedroom nor do I have the space. It still is available to buy at some stores for $440-$600. Thanks all!

4 year old, presumably no warranty, depending on the model may have outdated or older technology - I would say $150.

I really doubt that a 4 year old DVD player is still available for purchase, and at that price. At least not any store that has even a remotely fresh inventory.

I like to use ending ebay auctions as good references on what fair prices are. Just search for the model number and see what they are going for.

I saw it on ebay too, there was only one for sale starting at $29. I remember when it first came out, it was the top of the line the, think I paid like $600 or so, damn those impulsive youth days!

DVD players are cheap, man
no one is gonna pay high price for a 4 year old unit unfortunately :)

what WAS good, while it may still work well... is no longer good by todays standards :p

it sucks, and especially people like the people on technical forums like this know it!

i've sold stuff like that before and taken a hella hit.. can't do anything about it.

It is amazing how fast everyhting depreciates. The person that wants it has been bugging ever since I mentioned I might let it go, plus I really dont like them, probalby let it do for $50
