Deja vu - the feeling that you are doing something you have done before. :)

I think Yogi Berra said it best:

"It's like deja vu all over again"

Or ... even better ... ever wondered if the geeks behind AskJeeves.com have a sense of humor? Certainly they do, try asking Jeeves "What is Deja Vu?" :)

Sometimes its a psychological misperception, sometimes its the real thing. Time is a construct, information is not bound by ordinary physics. To paraphrase Fort, science is a mutilated octopus, it observes regularity by chopping all its tentacles to the same length. Keeps some of them from reaching into dark, strange places... ;)

<< I heard one theory that said that the mind is processing the current even so rapidly (storing it to memory) that one perceives it both as the present and as an existing memory >>

Something like that, or maybe old memories get merged and mixed, and when the mind processes what it is receiving, it compares various sections with those old memories, giving the illusion or repetition.

I get deja vu sometimes of having had deja vu of something before. It gets kind of weird and almost annoying sometimes.
"I swear I did this before, and last time I did this, I was having deja vu." - Like that.

Exactly, there's one here in Ypsi right next to the College of business. I've never been there though. Chances are the 2 ugly ones will be the only 2 here.
