What do you think about this setup?

I'm getting a Geforce 6600 GT AGP for 80 bucks. My current pc is a AMD 2500+, 768 DDR ram, 3 harddrives, Asus a8v and a Geforce 4 4200. Here is my plan, I'm going to try to overclock the Opty. I might not get the ram, and just use what I have in my system.

Opteron 144 $159.00

As Rock Motherboard $72.00

Corsair 2 x 1GB 165.00

Seagate 80 gig Sata $63.00

Antec P150

Acer 17 Inch

I would go with a different motherboard. Perhaps, Epox, DFI, or Asus. Everything else looks good.

Stick with the mobo, it's pretty good if you're planning to move on PCI-e later in the future.

For $80, yes. But if you plan to game a lot, I would go with a faster card if you can afford it.

I play CounterStrike and Warcraft 3 for now, but would like to play Quake 4 better and FEAR. I'm guessn' Fear needs a better video card?
