What do you think about this notebook

I am thinking about getting this notebook. I like the way it looks with the sleek magnesium alloy case. It is an Asus, and two of my friends have the notebooks at lower speeds though.

1) What are you going to use it for
2) Dimensions and weight

Personally I'm guessing that for me the 14.1 inch screen makes it too big already. Price for that hardware seems pretty decent though. Is there an option for built in 802.11b?

I am just using it for surfing and studying at the library. I am going to get a wireless pc card so that i can use the wireless internet on campus and at starbucks. The weight is 6.4lbs and the dimensions are 12.2x10x1.3.

Sounds cool, I work at my college fixing laptops so I know that the thing most people complain about is the size. This ones dimensions sound ok, but still you will need an extra bag that will annoy you probably b/c of the weight and bother. Something to keep in mind.

I reiterate the price for the performance sounds decent to me. Max 384 MB of RAM sucks a little bit. The video card is a little weak but for your uses it sounds ok. Make sure you will be happy with the battery time.

Buying a laptop is much more a personal choice than a desktop I've noticed. People differ in what pointing devices, screen sizes, hardware options they will put up with!
