Mobo: Asus A7N8X 2.0 Deluxe ($123 newegg.com)
Proc: Athlon XP 2500+ Barton 333fsb - overclocked to 3200+ ($85 newegg.com)
Heatsink: Thermalright SK-7 ($22 newegg.com)
Vid Card: Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB ($298 newegg.com)
HD: : Seagate 120gb 7200rpm ($60!!!!!! compusa)
DVD: Sony 16x DVD ($28 newegg.com)
Case: Thermaltake XaserIII V2000A ($158 newegg.com)

Ok, the last thing I need to get is RAM and cables and a fan for my heatsink on the proc.

I was looking at 2x Kingston Hyper X Series 512mb PC3200 ($119 ea. @newegg.com)

TOTAL: ~$1120

I was going to get the Thermaltake case because I was looking for a 5+ fan case with a window. 5 fans @ $7.50 each (silencer 80mm fans from pcpowercooling.com) + 5 fan filters @ $3.00 each would make any case very expensive and the thermaltake case comes with all 7 fans and 7 filters. I already have a powersupply.

So pretty much all I'm looking for is feedback on this build and some input on which RAM and cables to get. Also, I heard there are things you can do with the ram to make it more efficient or faster or something, but I'm not quite sure what/how to do it. Can anyone help with that too?
Thanks.

Looks pretty good. You can get a 9800NP for $250 from Best Buy, and SVC has the monster Thermalright SLK-900A for $20. See Hot Deals.

5+ case fans is going to be loud. I run one panaflo and my temps are a bit high, but everything's quiet and stable. 5 silencers may not turn out to be so solent after all.

People here like buffalo ram. The thing to make it faster is by lowering the latencies you run the ram at. After you get good ram, you can do that through the bios.

You may want to pick up a cd burner the next time they're free after rebate.

Looks good, my new comp is gonna be simular, need to get video card tho
