what do you think about the samsung syncmaster 712N?

just wondering what peopels thoughts are on this screen...looking at getting one very cheap from a family member...was wondering if it was worth it or if i should save up a few hundred more and get a dell

i have owned i now for almost 2 years, no dead pixels, and the 8ms response is amazing. the only downside is that it is d-sub only no dvi

Though if you're getting a deal on that Samsung, go for it.

many would tell you that having DVI for LCDs is a must...but since it's 17", you might not notice any huge difference.....i still suggest you getting a Samsung 730B instead of the 712N...

well i ended up getting it for free...so i guess i cant complain...i have to say so far i like it better than my old 19 inch crt
