What do you think about the 2011 Honda CR-Z??

Amazing that my Fusion Hybrid that's a 4 door midsize sedan with a trans geared for Fuel economy does 0-60 faster then the CRZ and gets essentially the same mileage.

Yeah, I don't really get it. What's up, Honda? 🙁

Though, I do love Honda's hybrid system. It just seems the way a hybrid system should be.

i've always heard/thought that the mild hybrid system was the one thing holding them back

I did see one in person a few days back and it looks better in person than in pictures. Not sure how long this car will be around though....

hope those rumors of putting a k24 in it are true

Not that exciting with a car ~3000 pounds. The K series were pretty cool 10 years ago, but they just aren't that exciting anymore compared to many options available today.

Wow, so I'm not the only one. In the past few months, I've seen only one CR-Z on the road. I'd prefer a used lat emodel Miata.

Yep, I saw one when we were driving back from NH a month or two ago. Only one I've seen.

Ouch!
http://www.autoblog.com/2010/12/06/cr-z-crosstour-insight-sales-hurting-odyssey-lone-bright-spo/

Take the Insight hybrid, which is falling 40,000 units short of even the most conservative estimates inside the company. Outsold 8-to-1 by its Toyota Prius rival, Honda has only managed to shift 19,325 units through November – the company originally targeted sales of 60,000 to 80,000.

Likewise, thus far this year, Honda has sold nearly 20,000 fewer Crosstour models than its biggest competitor – the Toyota Venza, selling just 25,927 units compared to the Toyota's 43,325. Need we remind you, Honda's original sales goal for the Crosstour was 40,000 units per year, a number we were deeply skeptical of after first driving the vehicle at its launch last November.

Although it hasn't been on the market that long, early sales for Honda's new CR-Z hybrid coupe aren't any more encouraging. Automotive News reports that Honda had conservatively intended to sell around 15,000 of the two-seat hybrids per year, but so far, only 4,373 have made their way off of dealer lots and another 3,000 are currently sitting in inventory. Thankfully, there is one bright spot in the Honda stable – the 2011 Odyssey. The minivan bowed in September, and it's performing well against a minivan segment that has heated up with a range of new competitors.

And Honda has stated 2011 will also be the last year of the Element due to poor sales.

Honestly, I like the CR-Z. It is like the Acura ZDX in that it has almost no practical use, and no one really buys them, but I still like them.

I just wish I could pick up a used one right now. :\

Hate it.
As expensive as fit
Heavier than the fit
Seats less people than the fit

and worst of all
SLOWER THAN THE FIT (compare 0-60 times about 8sec to about 10 sec)

And finally gentlemen.
FWD is not a sports car

edit
I take that back .
9.7 0-60 time according to honda.
http://www.honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=2693211

motor trend has fit doing 0-60 in 8.3 s
http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/hatchbacks/112_0809_2009_honda_fit_sport_quick_test/index.html

i did see one comment that put the CR-Z at 8.3 but no real articles. Plus thats a honda source saying 9.7s.

That means if i pull on the line next to CR-Z, i will pretty much destroy it in my much more practical, and cheaper honda fit.
Take that peace of crap CR-Z

Ouch, those are some rough sales numbers. Maybe Honda will take notice and start designing cars that people want to buy. Besides the well-known models like Accord, Civic, CR-V, Pilot, and Odyssey Honda has really struggled to have a successful new model on over 10 years.

Not a huge fan of the CR-Z here, but I do kind of like the ZDX in person. It looks unique. Not sure if I would buy it, but it looks kind of cool. I doubt it will be around long though...they can't be selling many of these at all. I have seen 1 on the road all year...

It's certainly different. They have it in Gran Turismo 5. I've been wanting to test drive it. Supposed to be the reincarnation of the CR-X.

Mind you the fuel economy isn't that much of an improvement compared to my 05 Civic. In fact combined millage of the manual CR-Z is only 1mpg more than my car, which is auto.
