honestly it's a great road trip. It costs less than Italy and the food and landscape are great.
The bullet holes in the buildings leave an impression but I guess they've decreased further in the last few years.

I wonder what american ice cream tastes like since americans rave about any ice cream bought in Italy.

Napoli is the filthiest place I've ever seen honestly. They just throw trash in the street. As in they actually throw their old mattresses out in the street and they're done.
Beirut right now can probably beat it. Still, tunisia was cleaner than Naples.
Also the traffic on the coast near Naples is the worst ever.

If you want to visit the south I'd rather go to Sicily, especially in the spring when it's all green and you see why any civilization (greeks, romans, arabs, normans) wanted it. You absolutely have to rent a car there, forget about public transport. The roads are all new and free because of pork barrelling so the driving is nice.
There's interesting old stuff to see, you can find anything from the greek era to the architecture of the '800.
Salento is nice too. I've never seen Calabria, or the interior mainland parts.

Im sure Croatia and Serbia would be beautiful to see, the forests and the mountains serene. But I simply dont want to go in a Yugo. If Im going to ride in a death machine, a car designed before crumple zones and seatbelts were a factor, I'd risk a 2CV, but not a yugo.

Italy is awesome. I liked it alot. Vicenza and Florence were my favorite spots.
Only did the typical touristy stuff. Was stationed in germany so drove down. Holy hell they drive like maniacs in Italy. I have been known to drive aggressively but would be considered a pussycat compared to how they tackle traffic.

You can find good ice cream in the US, but you have to know where and what to look for. Most people here are indiscriminate about what they will eat, so most of what is readily available is garbage, full of corn syrup, whey, thickeners, and artificial flavors.

I would weight 400 lbs if I lived in Italy. Best food in the world there :) Also coolest cars, and arguably some of the hottest women. Great architecture too.

I wanna move to Italy :(

is that all?

no mean opinions ? :)

Not a "mean opinion" but your country is overrun with illegal immigrants and has a lot of financial problems. From reading the Italian press looks like the infrastructure is crumbling. I think your country has serious problems coming in the years ahead.
