What do you think about adding more personal profile info?

Is it possible to add some more profile info for others to see? It gets a bit frustrating (especially in the FS/FT forum) when you find out you are dealing with a kid who is yanking your chain and does not have the means or ability to follow through. (I don't wish to name names here) It would be nice to be able to look at someone's profile & find out a bit more about them before responding. I believe this would also would help in the other forums also.

I was thinking of something along the way of a line for profession, maybe one for level of education, and possibly a line with generic age breakdowns (i.e. under 18, 18-22, 23-30, ect...).

What do you think, good idea, bad idea, on the mark, way off base?

not a bad idea, it would be more of a deterent , but the same people could just alter their profiles to continue screwing with you couldn't they?

yea, but eventually we could figure if someone is seriously lying about their profile. If someone thinks they must lie about this basic information, then we don't want them here anyways.

Well, to stick up for the young'ns around here...just because they're under-age doesn't mean they can't follow through. Just watch where you're painting the assumption picture.

no ill intentions ment. I'm venting a little steam. Had a bad run-in with someone who ended being 14 years old & couldn't honor the deal since his parents would not let him. No money was lost, but I did pass up on another deal to work on that one. Just a bit frustrated. I had assumed I was dealing with someone older. I need to remember that alot of kids are really in tune with this stuff now. I'm probably one of the 'old foggies' on this board. When I was 14, atari had just replaced pong.
